Hand Basting Thread - Cotton

I use this in various applications. I make evening and bridal, this thread helps me in many ways

As soon as the basting threads arrived, I used them to baste welt pockets. Soooo much better than pinning. And removing the basting thread after stitching was easy. The basting threads moved smoothly through the tightly woven fabric, were easy to see. I always want to have this basting thread in my sewing tools.

I ordered a few skeins of Japanese basting thread. The order arrived on time as scheduled.

I am very please with the selection of patterns and other items. The speed of delivery was incredible, like in two days! I've perused the site a number of times in the past and hesitated. What a mistake! I love the basting thread for my embroidery, marking large or complicated patterns. It's perfect for gridding. Light, fluid, good contrast, and doesn't bleed. It is thin enough that with the type of coverage my work will create, I'm not even concerned about removing it, as I would be with the plastic grid thread.

I have tried regular thread, silk thread, even dental floss (fail), and not been happy. This cotton basting thread beats all the others. It is easy to work with, stays put (doesn't slip out), and is easy to see and remove. Win!

This is a good, basic basting thread that sews and releases easily. I would prefer it on a spool, but cutting it in half, as one reviewer suggested, makes it manageable. I'd buy it again.

So fantastic this thread is easy to use and provides great contrast to fabric! Excellent quality.
