A modern update of a vintage favorite, the 1940's Mexican souvenir jacket. Make it traditional with the included applique patterns or contemporary, both versions are included in the pattern. These unlined jackets feature: shoulder darts, side vents, patch pockets, pleated sleeves and lots of charm.
Fabric Suggestions: For the traditional jacket you will need wool broadcloth or wool felt in red, yellow or turquoise. For the contemporary version, choose any light jacket weight fabric with a tight weave.
Notions: Thread. Optional: button or hook & eye, interfacing, shoulder pads, Velcro. Traditional jacket: wool broadcloth, felted wool or wool felt in various colors for appliques. Wool embroidery yarn for hem edges and other details.
If making sizing adjustments, check layout and increase yardage as needed.
