A treat to use
What a huge difference from basting with regular thread. This Japanese basting thread was recommended by a Craftsy instructor and what a find! I am basting more seams and forgetting the pins because this thread makes basting so easy. Tangles are few and far between. The strands glide so smoothly and remove so cleanly that basting actually speeds up my sewing instead of adding an extra step Once basted, I can speed sew a seam that without the basting I would have to take slowly, re-positioning countless times. On top of that, service at The Sewing Place is fast. The thread was at my home in just a few days.

Love this thread
I use this thread to hand baste quilts and it is marvelous. I have tried other types of threads and nothing even comes close to working as well as this thread. I also use it for tailor's tacks and marking sewing patterns.

Basting Thread
Exactly what I was looking for. You were the only place on the internet I could find it. Went to a JoAnne Fabric store and they didn't know what it was. Thanks. Good price and good service. Jack

Japanese Basting Thread
I found this while making a Chanel style jacket. I would have saved many hours if I had used it from the beginning. Unlike silk thread the Japanese basting thread stays in until you pull it. It is also easy to see because of the colors. The silk sink right into the pile and disappears

This is great thread.
It doesn't tangle, so you can use a longer length. It slips through easily as you sew, and again when you remove it. I wish I had bought some long ago!
