Old Santa Fe Park - Park Bench

Park Bench Old Santa Fe Park pattern is a great top! It is large, long and roomy across the chest and very simple to make.

Mary Lou says: My favorite is made out of white cotton gauze with matching pants made from my Central Park Pattern #08. This makes a wonderful summer top. It's also nice when made with a cotton T-shirt knit, stripes or prints. or you can use any fluid, easy moving fabric. For winter wear I recommend a light wool.

Try cutting it up the middle and making it into a jacket. The front could be appliqued, quilted, painted or embellished. Cover the armhole seam with decorative trim such as a contrasting bias strip, ribbon or braid. Mixing and matching fabrics can add a lot of interest. The front is a nice shape for a quilted piece, applique or painting.

Can' t wait to make the top. The pattern looks very focused on drape. Going to make something comfy.
