This top has a very simple shape that is strong and also sophisticated. Front and back center openings are cut at an angle and stitched only at the shoulders. These openings have a wide overlap that allows movement without gaping.
Options: This blouse can be made with a soft, drapey fabric or a fabric with a heavier weight for a more controlled look. Use two, three or four different fabrics for variety and fun. Try using a different fabric for each garment half. Use facings as a design detail. Buttons can be added. Decorative trim. Stitch the opening closed. Lengthen if you wish. Single or double fold bias neck binding.
