When constructing silk, velvet and woolen garments it is sometimes necessary to press the garment before removing the basting thread. To avoid marks of basting threads showing after the pressing, use silk thread instead of the usual cotton thread. The silk thread will not leave any marks.
Remove the basting threads by snipping the basting threads every three or four inches and remove them gently. Never pull out long basting threads.
Each card contains 80m (approx. 87 yards) of 100% silk white thread.
