Petersham is often confused with grosgrain ribbon but the important difference is that the Petersham has a scalloped edge which allows you to shape the ribbon. Be sure to preshrink where necessary before use with steam or by spritzing with water and pressing with iron set for rayon.

All of our ribbon is sold in increments of one yard. So if you order “1”, you’ll get one yard, “2” and you’ll get two yards. Our website does not calculate in fractional yards (for example: 1 ½ ). Be sure to choose Color and Width, then how many yards you’d like.
Full Spools of Petersham Ribbon contain 33 yards (30 meters). Enter quantity of 33 for a full roll.

Great source for Petersham Gros Grain Ribbon
The Sewing Place is my "go to" place for Petersham. They have a full array of colors and widths, and will send customers a visual with each color shown with the name of the color for easy matching and ordering. I have even sent a piece of my fabric on a hard to match shade and the Sewing Place was very helpful in identifying the closest color. Please don't ever consider buying any other gros grain ribbon for sewing, as there is no comparison between Petersham and what you find by the roll in most fabric and craft stores.

The ribbon is gorgeous and works so beautifully around curves. There are so many colors and I ordered the color card that gives samples of all the colors, and examples of all widths. So helpful.
