This petersham grosgrain uses a soft and stretchy recycled polyester yarn that gives this ribbon a slight amount of stretch.
The stretch provides enough movement to allow it to be applied to the band, brim or sweatband of a hat and fit snugly.
Also this works great when top applied over seams of stretch fabrics.
This item only stretches up to 125% of its original length. (1 yard stretches to 1.25 yards)
100% Recycled Polyester, washable, dry cleanable, colorfast, less than 10% shrinkage.
Petersham is often confused with grosgrain ribbon but the important difference is that the Petersham has a scalloped edge which allows you to shape the ribbon.

Great for Necklines
This is not super stretchy but just enough to make it work well as a trim for knit necklines that don't need to stretch to go over the head. Really a classy looking trim. Would also work well as a narrow stay in an area where you want it to have just a little bit of give.
