Petersham is often confused with grosgrain ribbon but the important difference is that the Petersham has a scalloped edge which allows you to shape the ribbon. Be sure to preshrink where necessary before use with steam or by spritzing with water and pressing with iron set for rayon.

All of our ribbon is sold in increments of one yard. So if you order “1”, you’ll get one yard, “2” and you’ll get two yards. Our website does not calculate in fractional yards (for example: 1 ½ ). Be sure to choose Color and Width, then how many yards you’d like.
Full Spools of Petersham Ribbon contain 33 yards (30 meters). Enter quantity of 33 for a full roll.

Great quality ribbon with excellent color selection
This is perfect ribbon for jacket trims or to be the base for jacket trims. Heck, if there is any left, it can be used to wrap presents! The quality is so much nicer than you the grosgrain one finds in fabric stores these days, and the Sewing Place has a very wide range of colors with a color chart available to aid in the correct choice. This is my go to store when I start assembling the notions for any sewing projects.

Wonderful quality ribbon
I buy this ribbon for any jackets I make where I will be designing trim. The quality is excellent and is real gros grain ribbon--not the rayon junk you find in craft and fabric stores these days! I have bought several colors, and it is great to have an excellent color table on the website so one can check ribbon colors against the fabric.
