Petersham is often confused with grosgrain ribbon but the important difference is that the Petersham has a scalloped edge which allows you to shape the ribbon. Be sure to preshrink where necessary before use with steam or by spritzing with water and pressing with iron set for rayon.

All of our ribbon is sold in increments of one yard. So if you order “1”, you’ll get one yard, “2” and you’ll get two yards. Our website does not calculate in fractional yards (for example: 1 ½ ). Be sure to choose Color and Width, then how many yards you’d like.
Full Spools of Petersham Ribbon contain 33 yards (30 meters). Enter quantity of 33 for a full roll.

Color not what I hoped for
Interactions with The Sewing Place were amazing. Prompt, informative, clear. I really liked the experience and would order from them again. Sadly, even though the site included a color guide, the color of the ribbon was lighter than I needed, so I'm disappointed in the product, but not with The Sewing Place.

Color not as expected
While the ribbon is nice, the color is way off from what you see on screen (which is expected) but also way off from the attached color sheet that came with it. I ordered the teal but it really is more of a turquoise. Luckily it's rayon so I can dye it for my needs.
